This download contains an improved version of the Sound Blaster® plugin, a component application for use with Microsoft® Windows® XP Media Center Edition. It enables you to access additional features in selected Sound Blaster devices installed on systems with Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition. Added Features or Enhancements:

  • Enables Creative EAX® ADVANCED HD™ environmental effects
  • Enables CMSS® (Creative Multi Speaker Surround) 3D Audio Technology
  • Adds Graphic Equalizer

For Sound Blaster X-Fi only:

  • Enables Dolby Digital and DTS Decoder settings
  • Enables Creative 24-bit Crystalizer technology to enhance digital audio
 

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 or better 
  • Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi, Creative Sound Blaster Audigy® 2 ZS or Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro audio device installed.

Notes:

  • This plugin is for the Sound Blaster X-Fi, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS or Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro audio device only. Do not install this plugin if you have Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook.
  • Sound Blaster X-Fi users must download the latest X-Fi drivers to access all features.
